On the following pages you will see the various Austrian police insignia in our collection. When putting this together, we were faced with several cataloging issues. Ultimately we decided to break it down to by both agencies and states. The individual agency pages will have listed the regulation and generic insignia associated with that department. Agency insignia that is from a specific geographic area will be further broken down by individual states. 

As you search through the collection, be sure to check each agencies page as well as the state page to ensure that you have seen all the insignia that we have.

In 2005, there was a re-organization of law enforcement in Austria. This took the form of consolidation of agencies and resources. As a result, existing departments were merged into a Federal Police.  This new agency is listed below as "Polizei (New)"
